Gasson Hall, Boston College

At Gasson Hall, Boston College, Canning provided the historic finishes investigation and analysis needed to restore the interior to its original design scheme.

Gasson Hall is one of Boston College’s most prominent buildings. Canning had the opportunity to restore the interior to its original 1913 design.

The work included mural conservation and restoration, decorative finishes restoration and glazing, and woodwork conservation.

A large part of the project involved restoration, cleaning, stripping, toning, repointing, and repair of the fabricated cast stone walls.
